Natalia Orestovna Saraeva,
Chief Hematologist
Irkutsk Oblast Ministry of Healthcare
Dear colleagues,
I am inviting You to take part in the IV International Practical Research Conference: Hematology. Innovations. Clinical Practice. This time, it is taking a hybrid form allowing, on one hand, of openness and liveliness of personal intercourse and, on the other hand, of wider participation, with anyone willing to join the professional discussion now enabled so regardless of their present location.
Another feature of the current conference is that young researchers and practicians are participating along with the most recognized experts. For young people, it is an opportunity to speak to a professional audience and get a feedback; for us, people of an elder generation, it is a chance to see that those coming after us will keep up the standard.
I am also very pleased to say that our conference has become a tradition. Regular exchange of experience and learning from fellow hematologists around the globe let us, despite the current difficulties, move on and grow professionally.
Andrey Viktorovich Shcherbatykh,
Rector of Irkutsk State Medical University
Dear colleagues,
Every student, having joined the Irkutsk State Medical University, from the very beginning also joins the conviction that the most important thing for a doctor is knowledge. But we cannot master anything once and for all, as the life never stays still and neither does the medical science: new diagnostic methods are introduced, new medicines appear, new treatment regimens are developed. So it is crucial for a doctor to continue learning however many years have passed since his or her graduation because he/she bears the huge responsibility for the patients’ life and health.
That is why a doctor is always studying – at the job, from the colleagues, at home by reading professional literature, and, of course, at such practical research conferences, which help to generalize and systematize obtained knowledge, to make it a life saving tool.
The Conference: Hematology. Innovations. Clinical Practice. has become known as a most profound discussion platform hosting representatives of the leading federal centers of hematology, respected researchers and practicians. It means that art-of-the-day hematological knowledge will be available to specialists working in remote regions.
I wish an interesting and productive session to all the participants and hope that thus we make a next step in bringing medical practice closer to the advanced scientific achievements.

Irkutsk Oblast Clinical Hospital
Dear participants of the conference,
Hematology has recently made a leap forward and is rapidly developing on. The diagnoses, which used to sound like a death sentence, are now perceived quite differently: even when full recovery is impossible, there are ways to prolong the patient’s life with a good quality. And the credit for it goes to the hematologists. Their knowledge, experience, persistence in implementing the advanced diagnostics and treatment methods in their daily practice give hope to the patients and their families.
Today, it is essential for a hematologist to move abreast with latest trends and to be able to find his way around the present-day medicines and technologies. And these are exactly the tasks tackled by the Conference: Hematology. Innovations. Clinical Practice. I wish the participants to do some good work here and so increase accessibility and quality of specialized and high-tech medical aid to the citizens of the region.
